Lexus RZ600e F SPORT Performance: New EV Flagship Packs More Power, Extreme Aero, and Track-Focused Tech

Lexus has unveiled its most extreme electric SUV yet — the Lexus RZ 600e F SPORT Performance. Launched as a Japan-only special edition, the new flagship pushes the RZ lineup further into high-performance territory with more power, aggressive carbon-fiber aerodynamics, and advanced steer-by-wire technology.

The model will go on sale nationwide in Japan on March 2, 2026, with prices starting from ¥12,165,000 (approx. €116,000 / A$116,000).

More Power Through Software, Not Hardware

Based on the RZ 550e F SPORT, the new RZ600e raises total system output to 313 kW (425 hp) — a 13 kW increase achieved by reassessing battery output limits rather than changing hardware.

Key powertrain specs:

  • Dual-motor AWD

  • Front motor: 167 kW / 268 Nm

  • Rear motor: 167 kW / 268 Nm

  • 0–100 km/h: 4.4 seconds (unchanged)

The 77 kWh battery remains unchanged, delivering a 525 km CLTC range. Under the stricter WLTP cycle, a comparable setup delivers around 450 km.

Carbon-Fiber Aero Everywhere

The RZ600e F SPORT Performance is instantly recognizable thanks to its extensive carbon-fiber aero package, developed to maximize downforce and stability:

  • Large front splitter

  • Aggressive rear diffuser

  • Dual rear spoilers mounted on the tailgate

  • Carbon turning vanes at the front and rear wheel arches

  • Carbon roof, hood vents, headlamp bezels, and bonnet bulge

The vehicle also sits 20 mm lower than the RZ 550e F SPORT, reducing drag and improving high-speed stability.

Wheels, Tires, and Brakes Built for Performance

The flagship RZ rides on 21-inch matte-black ENKEI alloy wheels, wrapped in:

  • 255/40 R21 Yokohama Advan Sport (front)

  • 295/35 R21 tires (rear)

Braking has been significantly upgraded:

  • 20-inch brake rotors

  • Six-piston aluminum monoblock front calipers

  • Blue Lexus-branded performance calipers

These changes are designed to match the higher output and track-focused intent of the vehicle.

Interior: Yoke Steering and Motorsport Influence

Inside, blue accents reinforce the performance theme. Highlights include:

  • Yoke-style steering wheel with full Steer-by-Wire

  • Interactive Manual Drive, enhancing driver engagement

  • Ultrasuede® sport seats, produced using an integrated foam molding process

  • Strong lateral support without sacrificing daily comfort

The cabin blends Lexus refinement with motorsport-inspired functionality.

Developed With Racing Experts

The RZ600e F SPORT Performance was developed with direct input from:

  • Yoshihide Muroya, Red Bull Air Race World Champion

  • Masahiro Sasaki, Nürburgring 24h competitor

Their involvement focused on aerodynamic optimization, chassis tuning, and driving feel — pushing Lexus’s first dedicated BEV platform to its limits.

Japan-Only — For Now

It remains unclear whether the RZ600e F SPORT Performance will be offered outside Japan. However, the RZ 550e and RZ 500e have already been confirmed for other markets, including Australia.
