Polestar 4 Officially Launches in the US and Canada With Lower-Than-Expected Pricing
The wait is finally over for North American buyers. Polestar has begun customer deliveries of the Polestar 4 in the United States and Canada, marking the long-awaited regional debut of the brand’s sleek SUV coupe — and it arrives with a major surprise: significantly lower pricing than originally announced.
With the Polestar 4 now on sale alongside the larger Polestar 3, the Swedish EV brand officially offers two distinct electric SUVs in North America, strengthening its position in the premium EV market.
Two SUVs, Two Clear Identities
Polestar’s North American lineup now consists of:
-
Polestar 3 – a traditional, larger premium SUV
-
Polestar 4 – a sportier, coupe-style electric SUV
According to Rick Bryant, Head of Polestar North America, the arrival of the Polestar 4 is strategically important, especially as it complements the US-built Polestar 3.
Having two SUVs with clearly different designs and driving characteristics available for immediate delivery is a major step forward for Polestar and its retail partners across the continent.
First Deliveries Begin in Florida
Customer deliveries officially began in Florida, now Polestar’s second-largest EV market in the US, behind California.
The first Polestar 4 was handed over at Polestar Miami, the brand’s newest and largest retail space in the state. Polestar confirms that deliveries will ramp up rapidly across the US and Canada over the coming weeks as order backlogs are fulfilled.
Lower Pricing Boosts the Value Proposition
The biggest surprise for buyers is the revised pricing structure.
When orders initially opened in North America, the Polestar 4 was expected to start at €46,900, later revised to €48,100 for early South Korea–built models. Now, as deliveries begin, Polestar has introduced far more aggressive pricing, significantly improving competitiveness in the premium EV segment.

Polestar notes that the new pricing is a limited-time offer, but it dramatically strengthens the Polestar 4’s appeal against key rivals.
A Long Road to North America
The Polestar 4’s journey to North America has been unusually lengthy.

-
China deliveries: late 2023
-

Delays were caused by a combination of factors, including leadership changes, trade tariff concerns, and broader strategic restructuring within Polestar.
As a result, North American Polestar 4 models are assembled in South Korea, rather than China as originally planned — a key move to mitigate tariff exposure.
Strengthening Polestar’s Position in North America
With competitive pricing, strong performance, fast charging, and distinctive coupe-SUV styling, the Polestar 4 arrives as a crucial product for the brand’s North American ambitions.
Combined with the Polestar 3, the company now offers a more complete premium EV portfolio, giving buyers immediate choice between performance-focused design and traditional SUV practicality.
