Alpine Teases an Electric A110 as the Brand Turns 70 and Ends the ICE Era
The iconic French sports car brand Alpine is marking its 70th anniversary with a decisive shift into a fully electric future. Known for lightweight, agile petrol-powered sports cars, Alpine has confirmed that the internal combustion era is coming to an end, with the legendary A110 set to return as a fully electric sports car.
During a special anniversary event, Alpine showcased the final evolution of its petrol-powered lineup while teasing what comes next: a new generation of 100% electric performance cars.

The spotlight of the celebration was the Alpine A110 R Ultime, described by Alpine CEO Philippe Krief as the “grand finale” of the second-generation A110.

Production Ends in 2026, Electric A110 to Follow
Alpine has confirmed that production of the current petrol A110 will end in mid-2026. After that, the A110 nameplate will live on exclusively as an electric sports car.
The third-generation Alpine A110 EV will be built on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP), a dedicated architecture designed specifically for high-performance electric vehicles.
Alpine promises to reveal “really exciting news” about the electric A110 in the first half of 2026, strongly suggesting that performance and driving engagement will remain core priorities despite the switch to batteries.

By 2030, Alpine plans to offer seven different electric models, spanning sports cars, performance sedans, and motorsport variants.
